En esta disertación se examinan las novelas Duerme (1994) de Carmen Boullosa, La novia oscura (1999) de Laura Restrepo y Nadie me verá llorar (1999) de Cristina Rivera Garza a la luz de las intersecciones que presentan en cuanto a la historia y la ficción. En estas tres obras sus autoras reconstruyen una historia ficticia en las que toman como punto de partida materiales históricos. Sin embargo, en la elaboración de sus textos, lo ficticio se vuelve real para dar paso a la presentación de las realidades de los sujetos que han quedado al margen de la historia oficial y reconocerles como parte del canon de las literaturas mexicana y colombiana. Mediante diversas estrategias narrativas las autoras logran que Duerme, La novia oscura y Nadie me verá llorar presenten una versión alternativa de lo que conocemos sobre la época colonial mexicana, la Colombia contemporánea y de regreso a las primeras décadas del siglo xx mexicano. Asimismo, presentan como protagonistas a tres mujeres que trascienden el estereotipo femenino para responder a una nueva identidad que permita que accedamos a la historia desde otra mirada. Igualmente, las protagonistas experimentan una transformación mediante la cual acceden al poder desde distintas vertientes y se vuelven portavoces de los sujetos que al igual que ellas, han quedado fuera de la historia. También se analizan las múltiples voces narrativas que se incorporan en el discurso, así como la alternancia en el poder de quienes integran el sector de los marginados.
