dc.description.abstractA translation from Spanish to English of Chapter 5 and 6 of "Tras otro progreso: Filosofía de la tecnología desde la periferia" by Héctor José Huyke-Souffront. The book explores the preconceptions of "progress" and "technology" that predominate in contemporary culture. The chapters offer an examination of the practices developed through the adoption of new technology and the gradual favoring of long-distance experiences over nearby reality.
