La evolución de Pármeno y Lázaro en La Celestina y el Lazarillo de Tormes : personajes existencialistas que se transforman ante su circunstancia vital

Esta investigación trata sobre la evolución del personaje de Pármeno en La Celestina como antecedente del Lazarillo de Tormes, personajes que evidenciaron una revolución artística y literaria con su radical transformación, en contraposición con los personajes literarios que les precedieron. El criado y el pícaro son personajes existencialistas, que se dejan tocar por las circunstancias de ruido y de furia de la España medieval y renacentista, a diferencia de los personajes esencialistas, que se mantienen con una personalidad idéntica predeterminada ab initio, a lo largo de toda la obra. Pármeno y Lázaro de Tormes irán forjando sus vidas en contacto con el mundo hostil que les rodea, educándose hacia el deshonor y la corrupción, convirtiéndose en la imagen más horrible del imperio español al claudicar a todos sus valores. Para llevar a cabo este trabajo, haremos un close reading del personaje de Pármeno y de Lázaro de Tormes, para determinar qué circunstancias inciden en la evolución de estos personajes, que pasan de una fidelidad e inocencia inicial a una infidelidad y cinismo absoluto. Como complemento, nos haremos cargo de la teoría de las metáforas cotidianas de Lakoff y Johnson para estudiar cómo el lenguaje cotidiano u ordinario se utiliza en ambas obras para traducir el mundo de caos y corrupción de la España del medioevo y del Renacimiento.
