Abstract
En esta investigación con enfoque cuantitativo, se examinó la comprensión lectora en estudiantes universitarios matriculados en un curso de literatura. Para ello, se construyó una prueba de alternativas múltiples utilizando microcuentos para medir la comprensión lectora en tres niveles: literal, inferencial y crítico. Se usaron los Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA & NCME, 2014) como guía para recopilar las evidencias de validez. Se realizó un estudio piloto para recopilar la evidencia de validez basada en la estructura interna. El índice de confiabilidad de consistencia interna Alfa de Cronbach fue de 0.73. La prueba se administró en nueve de las diez secciones del curso Géneros Literarios I, debido a que una de las secciones se utilizó para realizar el estudio piloto. Participaron 160 estudiantes de los 245 matriculados en el curso. Los resultados señalaron que 79% de los estudiantes tienen un nivel literal, 71% un nivel inferencial y 21% un nivel crítico.
This research examined the reading comprehension of university students enrolled in a literature course using a quantitative approach. For this, the researcher constructed a multiple alternatives test using micro-stories to measure reading comprehension at three levels: literal, inferential, and critical. The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA & NCME, 2014) were used as a guide to collect validity evidence. The researcher conducted a pilot study to corroborate evidence based on the internal structure. Cronbach's alpha internal consistency reliability index was 0.73. Nine of the ten sections of the Literary Genres I course were administered the exam since one of the sections was the pilot study. There were 160 students of the 245 enrolled that participated. The results indicated that 79% of the students have a literal level, 71% an inferential level, and 21% a critical level.
