Abstract

El siguiente trabajo es un proyecto de gestión que utiliza la intermet o una interconexión de redes informáticas, para llevar a cabo una acción motivada por un proceso investigativo en torno a las tallas de santos de la Familia Avilés y el Museo Orocoveño Celestino Avilés Meléndez. Surge ante la aparente confusión que ocasionan las relativas percepciones que se tienen actualmente de estas piezas y sus gestiones. Su fin es divulgar y recopilar información significativa sobre esta familia de artesanos y sus aportes al acervo cultural puertorriqueño, a la vez que contribuye a la administración del museo. Por tanto, ese proyecto es el producto de un interés genuino en el fomento y la investigación interdisciplinaria de esta práctica artística-cultural dentro del contexto actual que aún la conserva y la valora.The following work is a management project that utilizes the Internet or an interconnection of computer networks to disseminate artwork of the Avilés family and the collections of the Museum Orocoveño Celestino Avilés Meléndez. The project developed from the investigation of the art of craving saints and the work of the Avilés family, and it is motivated by the apparent confusion that causing the relative perceptions that currently exists with relation to this art and their management. The main goal of this work is the recompilation and dissemination of the information related to the Avilés family and their contribution to the Puerto Rican cultural heritage, and also contribute with the museum administration. In sum, this project is the product of a genuine interest in the interdisciplinary research and foment of this cultural art in the actual context in which it is preserved and valued.
