Alfabetierrizando : desarrollo de material educativo para la alfabetización y sensibilización agroecológica

Abstract

This project combines agroecology and literacy educational strategies to achieve literacy in Puerto Rico. It arises as part of a reflection on the education the public system offers and what one can aspire to be. As part of this project an educational material entitled Huerto de papel: abc (en construcción) was prepared. Huerto de papel is an illustrated alphabet book focused on the theme of agroecology. Our expectation is that this book serves as a way for the participants to relate with the topic, that it'll become part of their context, and that they'll learn words while they sow.
