Abstract

Educ-andar is an educational project whose first initiative is the laboratorio de devenires pedagógicos (ldp), a series of workshops aimed at educators in training at the undergraduate level who identify with sex/genderdissidence, the LGBTTQIA+ community, or who consider themselves allies of said identities. The starting points are the challenges that queer people face when entering the educational system, marginalization, and the intentional erasure of our educational proposals. To meet the objective of complementing teacher training with reflective and alternative spaces, four workshops were designed collaboratively. Through creative writing exercises, expressive movement and forum theater, the ldp offers opportunities for collective training, knowledge exchange, and co-creation of strategies around becomings concerning Puerto Rican education. This first phase also consisted of designing evaluation tools to assess the impact, effectiveness, and significance of the ldp on the teaching experience of the participants. Finally, a website was conceptualized to serve as a living archive of educational resources with a gender perspective, nourished by the knowledge exchanged during each workshop and through voluntary contributions from the dialoguing community. The digital archive seeks to reclaim the space of queer educators in the digital world and to organize and promote initiatives and collectives that address the link between education and gender.
