Abstract
Breve análisis de la situación actual de la Industria Cinematográfica Puertorriqueña en torno a la distribución, mercadeo y consumo cultural. Las conclusiones derivadas de esta investigación proponen alternativas educativas para integrar la cinematografía nacional al currículo escolar para la formación de espectadores ilustrados. Utilizando como mecanismo los recursos desarrollados en el sitio Web www.cineame.org. La hipótesis central de esta investigación propone que el capital cultural adquirido mediante la educación fomentará la apreciación y el consumo del acervo fílmico puertorriqueñito, y por tanto, el flujo de oferta y demanda característico de las Industrias Culturales. Se observa el cine desde su valor económico sin olvidar su valor simbólico, social y cultural.

Findings from this research suggest educational alternatives for integrating national cinematography to the school curriculum for the promotion of illustrated viewers.
